宮崎国際音楽祭に招かれて、アシュケナージさんの指揮でラフマニノフ：ピアノ協奏曲第2番を演奏しました。
この音楽祭へは初登場です。アシュケナージさんの指揮はもちろんのこと、音楽祭のオーケストラが実に素晴らしく、最初のリハーサルからコンサート本番まで、一緒に演奏するのが本当に楽しく、充実した体験になりました。
アンコールにはラフマニノフのパガニーニ狂詩曲第18変奏を演奏しました。

I was invited to the Miyazaki International Music Festival, where I played Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 under the baton of Mr. Ashkenazi:
This is my first appearance is at this music festival. Mr. Ashkenazy's conducting and the music festival orchestra are really wonderfully. From the first rehearsal to the performance, it was really fun to play together, a very fulfilling experience.
The encore I played was the Paganini Rhapsody No. 18 Variation of Rachmaninoff.

今日は宮崎市に辻井伸行のピアノを聴きに行きました。なかなか手に入りにくいチケットです。
曲はラフマニノフ ピアノ協奏曲 大2番 ハ短調 そう大輔さんと真央さんのね

辻井さんのピアノは音が豊かで 華があるのね。オケとはあんまり融合してなかったけど 聴かせどころは ,゜.:。+゜すごかった,゜.:。+゜
Today, I went tolisten to the piano of Nobuyuki Tsujii in Miyazaki. The tickets were hard to come by.
The work sounds was Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto large No. 2 in C minor, which of Ms. Mao and Mr. Daisuke [skated to].And also Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2 in E minor
Encores were also Rachmaninoff
Tsujii's piano sounds has arichness andbeauty. I was seated far and it was not easy to hear the fusion with the orchestra is, °.:. +° It was amazing,°.:

Someone (a Miyazaki resident) posted a video clip on Twitter, a recording of presumably Nobu practicing for his Rach 2 performance, as heard through an exhaust vent!
This brings back an old fond memory: I once spent hours in a stairwell listening to Nobu practice for a Humboldt CA recital. Priceless!

The fuzzy photo below was snapped by me when I saw Nobu and Maestro Ashkenazy perform in Bristo, U.K., in 2012 (It was my understanding that it's okay to take photo after the performance.) Nobu and Mr. Ashkenazy are about the same height and, instead of taking Nobu by the arm, Mr. A chose to guide Nobu on and off stage in this choo-choo-train fashion.

The concert held on the 7th is one of the main events of the Miyazaki International Music Festival. 今日は宮崎市に辻井伸行のピアノを聴きに行きました。なかなか手に入りにくいチケットです。
曲はラフマニノフ ピアノ協奏曲 大2番 ハ短調 そう大輔さんと真央さんのね
そして 同じくラフマニノフ 交響曲第2番 ホ短調
アンコールもラフマニノフ
辻井さんのピアノは音が豊かで 華があるのね。オケとはあんまり融合してなかったけど 聴かせどころは ,゜.:。+゜すごかった,゜.:。+゜
Today, I went tolisten to the piano of Nobuyuki Tsujii in Miyazaki. The tickets were hard to come by.
The work sounds was Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto large No. 2 in C minor, which of Ms. Mao and Mr. Daisuke [skated to].And also Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2 in E minor
Encores were also Rachmaninoff
Tsujii's piano sounds has arichness andbeauty. I was seated far and it was not easy to hear the fusion with the orchestra is, °.:. +° It was amazing,°.:

でも、ピアノを弾く喜びに満ちているその姿は 少年みたいだった。
In my third-floor seat, I was feeling the luxury of sound like a water fountain.
Husband said, "This concert is an overkill ..." ... But, the figure [on stage] was like a boy who is full of joy to play the piano.

This brings back an old fond memory: I once spent hours in a stairwell listening to Nobu practice for a Humboldt CA recital. Priceless!

The downside of the concert being so popular is that there is no publicity about it in advance. So let me indulge in a little nostalgia with a couple of photos from the past.
This photo below, which I love, is from a press conference that took place before their 2013 Japan Tour
The fuzzy photo below was snapped by me when I saw Nobu and Maestro Ashkenazy perform in Bristo, U.K., in 2012 (It was my understanding that it's okay to take photo after the performance.) Nobu and Mr. Ashkenazy are about the same height and, instead of taking Nobu by the arm, Mr. A chose to guide Nobu on and off stage in this choo-choo-train fashion.
