In about two weeks, Nobu will be in London for his debut at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on the South Bank.

Tickets have sold out for months, but a few wheel-chair seats are available.
The Queen Elizabeth Hall (916 seats) is part of London's South Bank Center on River Thames.
This is Nobu's debut at the QEB Hall, but not his first appearance on the South Bank.
I remember well the thrilling 2012 concert of Nobu performing Prokofiev's Piano Concero no 3 with Vladimir Ashkenazy and the Philharmonia in the Royal Festival Hall.
This recital is part of an International Piano Series which features renowned pianists such as Paul Lewis, Mitsuko Uchida, Cédric Tiberghien, Angela Hewitt, Nikolai Lugansky and Pierre-Laurent Aimard. I believe Nobu's recital is the first in the series of year 2019. It is noteworthy that the next performance (Feb 7) in the series features pianist Beatrice Rana, 2013 Cliburn Competition silver medalist. And this is not a put-down of Ms. Rana -- she is a great pianist -- but as a comparison, many seats are still available at her recital, as of this writing.
Yours Truly have been looking forward to traveling to London to attend this recital, for months. I just wrote to Nobu's management with a request to meet him backstage after the concert, and heard back promptly: "It is great to hear that we will get to see you again in London! As you are well aware, the concert is sold out, so Nobu is especially looking forward to returning to London with a full house."
Sadly, England has been thrown into "Brexit" political turmoil as I write. I sympathize with people in U.K. (although we in the U.S. are in similar chaos), but I do hope Nobu (and I) will arrive soon to find London the fun and exciting city that it has always been.
