It is September 2020, and the world is in the midst of the COVID pandemic.
In Japan and some other places, concerts have resumed on a moderate scale, including the ongoing Nobuyuki Tsujii 2020 "The Best" Recital Tour, which started September 13 this month News and comments can be found at the link above.
This post concerns the encores played at the end of the recitals, which are important to some of us. But there are people who prefer not to know what the encores are, as it spoils their concert-going experience. So, if you are one of those people, please read no more.
Suntory Hall posts lists of encores online -- Suntory Hall encore list, and, according to the list for the September 14 concert, here are the encores, and they are surprises.
- Wagner / Liszt: Procession to Elsa's Cathedral
- Nobuyuki Tsujii: For the day when we can meet with a smile
- Rachmaninoff: Preludes "Bell" (Prelude in C Sharp Minor)

And an interesting article on the work can be read here ->

To my knowledge, these are all new encores -- although Nobu has played his own piece in other post-COVID performances. It's good news that Nobu has apparently taken time during the quiet time to practice new encore works!
