≪Mt. Fuji Kawaguchiko Piano Festival 2023≫ will be held!
Pianist in Residence: Nobuyuki Tsujii
September 15th (Fri) / 16th (Sat) / 17th (Sun) / 18th (Mon / Holiday) Kawaguchiko Stellar Theater Kawaguchiko Circular Hall / Kawaguchiko Comprehensive Park / Kawaguchiko Museum of Art
The official announcement is at https://pianofes.stellartheater.jp/
This will be the third edition of the festival, which was started in 2021during the worldwide COVID lock down (see Nobuyuki Tsujii -- resident artist at 2021 Mt. Fuji Kawaguchiko Music Festival.)

I had thought that the festival would not continue after the pandemic. But it was held again last year, again with Nobu as the resident pianist, and was a great success despite some stormy weather.

As the Pianist in Residence, Nobu is the headliner of this festival. In years past, he participates with full enthusiasm in a marathon of events: outreach with local residents, a premium recital at the Kawaguchiko Circular Hall, solo and ensemble performances at the spectacular Kawaguchiko Stellar Theater, and a free outdoor picnic concert for the public. He is also responsible for inviting and welcoming guest artists.

Judging from this year's announcement, the same format will apply. Let's hope this year's festival will -- unlike last year's -- enjoy sunny weather!
