Just when I thought the worst of the COVID pandemic is over, here came the bad news.
The Nobuyuki Tsujii official site just posted that the Philharmonia Japan Tour (Mar 15 -22) has indeed been canceled -- "due to the immigration ban on foreigners as a border measure for Omicron infections and the rapid increase in infected people overseas, it was decided that it would be difficult for artists to come to Japan, so the tour has been canceled."
This is devastating news. The cancellation of this tour also puts in doubt Nobu's March 10 performance in London preceding the tour, and by implication his March 7 recital to be held in Liverpool and March 4 recital in Vienna.

I am GUTTED. Totally. But let's hope that Nobu would travel to Europe for one week -- as he did in November 2021 to Milan and Paris -- for the performances in Vienna, Liverpool and London.
Let's keep up the good thoughts.
